WORK

Jena Sher Graphic Design LLC, Principle

As principle of my one-person firm, I focus on print design, and I am able to handle projects of

any size and work with clients around the US. My skills include developing a concept, choosing

an appropriate form, building an identity (from the grid to typeface selection to the layout),

establishing pacing, project management, and production. (2007–Present)


Pentagram Design, New York, Senior Graphic Designer on Michael Bierut’s team

Engaged in book and exhibition design, created identity systems, and designed posters,

web site concepts, signage, invitations, packaging, and other graphic materials.

Responsibilities included concept development, design execution, project management,

making presentations, client relationship management, and production. (2004–2007)


Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Adjunct Professor

Taught a Publication Design and thesis preparation course to college Seniors, and an

Advanced Typography course to college Juniors. (2007) Presently, I am a visiting critic.


Yale University Art Gallery, Graphic Designer

Designed exhibition graphics, calendars, invitations, posters, and brochures. (2002–2004)


CNN Interactive (Atlanta), Graphic Designer

Designed online and special report graphics. (2000–2001)
